A Celebration of 115 Years of Ministry (1908-2023)
A Note to Our Community
400 Hillcrest Avenue
Wilmington, DE 19809
After serving for over 115 years in the Hillcrest and Bellefonte areas of North Wilmington, the congregation of Hillcrest-Bellefonte United Methodist Church worshiped together one final time on Sunday, June 4th, 2023. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and who has passed through the doors of our church over the last century.
Hillcrest-Bellefonte has a long history of ministry and fellowship as a Sunday School and church in the Hillcrest and Bellefonte community and beyond. While we will no longer be meeting in this place as United Methodists, the New Life Christian Fellowship International, Inc., under the leadership of Rev. David Pope, will continue worship services in the sanctuary, as well as the food ministry, the exercise classes, the Girl Scouts and other ministry activities.
You are invited to continue worship in the United Methodist tradition at nearby Holly Oak Calvary United Methodist Church, 1151 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809.
Thanks and gratitude to the clergy, staff and laity who have so faithfully served and blessed our church over the past 115 years.
“To God be the glory for the great things He has done!”

This Week's Scripture
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace."
- Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
